Under proper supervision, athletes can begin foundational strength and movement training around 11–12. Training at this age prioritizes movement competency, coordination, motor control, and technical literacy over maximal loads. Every athlete is assessed individually before training begins.
Yes. Youth athletes receive age-appropriate programming built around movement quality, coordination, confidence, and safe progressive resistance training.
Yes — high school athletes are a core part of the program. Training is built around their sport season, goals, and training history, with both in-season and off-season options.
Yes. In-season training focuses on maintaining strength and power, supporting injury risk reduction, and managing fatigue around competition so athletes stay sharp and resilient.
In-person sports performance training is offered at RTS Barbell in Walnut Hills, Cincinnati. Remote coaching is available for athletes training anywhere.
Yes. Options include private 1-on-1 coaching, semi-private sessions capped at four athletes per coach, a hybrid model, and fully remote programming.
Yes. Remote performance coaching includes an individualized program, app-based delivery, weekly review, video feedback, and coach messaging — for athletes with access to a quality training facility.
It depends on the athlete, sport, and season. Most athletes train 2–4 sessions per week. Your program is individualized based on an assessment and your competitive calendar.
When supervised and progressed appropriately, strength training is safe and supports healthy athletic development. Programming emphasizes technique and movement competency before load.
