Strength and Conditioning in Cincinnati
Strength and conditioning is structured physical preparation built around the demands of sport and the needs of the individual athlete. Thrash Training Co. provides strength and conditioning in Cincinnati that goes beyond generic personal training — programs are coached by Drew Uy, CSCS, and informed by Division I strength & conditioning experience.
Structured Strength & Conditioning vs. Generic Personal Training
Strength and conditioning is structured physical preparation built around the demands of sport and the needs of the individual athlete. Unlike generic personal training, it is periodized, sport-informed, and individualized — progressing toward performance goals rather than chasing fatigue or soreness.
Strength Development
Athletes build foundational and maximal strength through coached, progressive loading that transfers to sport. Technique and consistency come before intensity.
Power and Explosiveness
Explosive force production is developed through Olympic lifting variations, jumps, throws, and medicine ball work — sequenced to transfer cleanly to sport.
Speed and Agility
Acceleration, sprint mechanics, and change of direction are coached alongside the strength and power qualities that support them.
Conditioning and Energy Systems
Conditioning is matched to the energy demands of the athlete’s sport — not generic cardio — so athletes are prepared for the way their game actually feels.
Injury Risk Reduction & Physical Preparation
While no training can prevent injuries, structured physical preparation helps athletes build the strength, mobility, and resilience that support injury risk reduction and durable performance across a long season.
Individualized Programming
Programs are built from an assessment and tailored to sport, schedule, and goals — then adjusted as the athlete develops and the competitive calendar shifts.
Coaching Expertise
Programs are built and coached by Drew Uy, CSCS, USAW L1, BS Kinesiology, with experience at Washington State University athletics and across high school strength and conditioning.
